THURSDAY PENNANTS

is played every Thursday (with some exceptions) from October
until February in the following year.

The Victor Harbor Bowling Club (VHBC) participates in these matches which are managed by the Great Southern Bowling Association (GSBA).

Last year there were three Divisions. VHBC had two Sides in the First Division and one Side in both the Second and Third Divisions.

Sides consisted of three Teams of four players in the First and Second Division and three Teams of three players in the Third Division. All players played two bowls.

Eligible Players: All female GSBA members as registered with the Association by the Club (unless there is a shortage of players – See the GSBA handbook for further details.)

Dress: Dress is the bowlers’ Bowling Club uniform.

The games: Play commenced every Thursday at 10:00am. A roll-up was permitted between 9:45pm and 10:00pm. For full details refer to the GSBA handbook.

Play consisted of:
* For All Divisions, there were twenty-one ends played with two bowls for each player.

* In Divisions One and Two, each Team played with four players.

* Division Three each Team played with three players.

Other facilities: The VHBC bar was open after each game.

The cost: The team’s entry fee for each day of play is to be advised. Catering was the responsibility of each home Club. VHBC expected all players playing at home to provide sufficient food to satisfy at least two players. Details of what to bring on the day were shown on the Pennants Notice Board.
